The MFL will start bus shuttles on Friday the 16th Night around 8PM to 5am July 25th. This will be held over the duration of 10 days. And SEPTA has already have allocated 49 buses ‘accorded to reliable sources’ on a continuous loop. SEPTA has predicted that this will add 22minutes to the commute to people who are traveling on the MFL everyday. The el-bus bus shuttle will operate from 69th street terminal to 40th and market. From 40th and market to Frankford terminal the EL-Train cars will pick up service. (Kyle O) Also during this time period Routes 108 and 113 will board at the North Terminal.
More Comly buses at Callowhill-
5075 is now at Callowhill on Monday July 11th I spotted it on the 44. It looks like the Comly buses are on loan to Callowhill mainly to help Callowhill operate buses on there end on the Market Frankford line.
More Comly buses assigned at Callowhill
More Comly buses recently got assigned to Callowhill 5355 and 5117 was spotted on the routes 52 and 46. It looks like Callowhill still has a bus shortage.
Neoplans making a come back on routes?
Accorded to several spotters the Neoplans are making a come back on routes operating out of various depots in Philadelphia. Neoplans over the last past week has make a rare appearance on the 28, L, 38, 31, 46, and a extremely rare appearance on the 44 (Which rarely uses NABI’s during the day for that matter). And also I’ve notice that on the G southern has start to run Neoplans 24/7 which I had not seen since 2001 prior to the new flyers arriving. Well you guys it looks like the Neoplan Days could be ending pretty soon. After 23 years running from SEPTA there time at most depots are coming to a end. However the Neoplans at Frankford may stay there for another 2 years until there replacements (The Trackless Trolleys arrive).
Route 15 Trolley set to run in September
Well it’s official folks no more rumors accorded
to an article in the Philadelphia Daily News
(PDN) The Route 15 which would use the PCCII
cars will start running full time during the
schedule change which is effective around September
the 6th. Thanks to the high level local politicians
they managed to make a compromise of the issues
which caused the line to not to run. For more
information on this please click here here.

Bus Assignments
Over the past week there has been some sightings of NABI’s being moved around. It has been confirmed that 5102, 5103, 5106 are now at Callowhill. And 5153, 5138, and 5156 are now at the Red arrow depots. It is unknown why this has occurred. It could be due to the fact that the summer pick of 2005 just occurred.
North Philadelphia Transportation Center
If you look at today’s metro paper you would see that there is some construction news concerning
the NPTC. SEPTA will soon start the renovations
of the NPTC within the next few months. The
transportation center would be located at broad
and Lehigh Ave. This project will concern both
BSL and the R8 routes. Once this project is
completed in 2007 this new transportation center
will feature a new escalator, new cashier booths,
linked a tunnel between the shopping center,
and fully accessible to passengers with disabities.
To learn more about this project just check
out today’s metro or look at the metro
on septa’s website

Contract deadline Extended
The SEPTA union agreed to extend the contact to September 6th 2005. If the extension were not executed than the current deadline which was set for Tomorrow at 12:01AM would have caused a possible strike. Well you guys it looks like you can hold you breath for another 3 months.
Eldorado Overhaul is underway
As stated in ctrabs guestbook there are a total of 13 Eldorado in various stages of receiving a vehicle overhaul. That being said the remaining Neoplan An460 (artics) that has not been overhaul are at Berridge getting there overhauls. The overhauls for the Neoplan An460 are should be done by next month at the latest.
Route 36 is operating shuttle buses
Trolleys start from Center City Tunnel to 49th and Woodland, where a connection to the shuttle bus is available. This is a good opportunity to catch a Neo ride as well, but beware, the bus does get crowded!
