Due to construction work as part of the Market Elevated Reconstruction
project (MSE) the 56th street station will be
closed. As result of this closure the G which
operates right below the station on 56th street
will have a detour all the way to 52nd street
station. About 4 blocks of the current route.
Also routes 31S and 21 will also be affected.
The station is set to be closed from May 31-Novemember
