Lately there had been some news going around regarding to the trackless trolley order. The news stated that septa will indeed purchase 60 E40LF starting next year meaning that Southern will get about 22 units out of this order. Please disregard these as rumors as there is no official news or facts that has been released yet. There’s no evidence that remotely suggest that septa are indeed working on reviving the 29, 79, (the existing lines in South Philadelphia) yet. Stay tune for more information on this in the future as it stands now septa are getting 38 E40LFs’ with options of 23 additional units. Please be advised more rumors are expected between now and when these coaches will arrive.
