On Sunday, August 21st, service has resumed back to Wawa. The 3.5 mile extension from Elwyn station marked the first extension on the Regional Rail system since 1986.

Within the past several months, more photos of the MultiLevels surfaced on social media. These shown an work in progress MultiLevel cab car at the CRRC plant in China. These are expected to arrive in the states first thing in 2023. Credit to the original photographers!
CRRC Updates regarding the SEPTA Multilevel cars order
Per an recently published article concerning CRRC
Updates on the CRRC order of Multilevels are as follows:
– Pilot cars are in final assembly and inspection at the plant in China
-Pilots expected to be delivered within the next few months (Middle of 2022)
-Purchase order cost increased slightly from $137.5 million to $138 million
-Once pilot cars tested and approved, cars would be assembled for an year and a half
SEPTA Service to Resume to Wawa on July 1st 2022
SALE OF AEM LOCOMOTIVES AND/OR 1 SLIII ST. LOUIS CAR
SEPTA has recently put an request out there for potential buyers to purchase Seven AEMs/ALP-44. The AEMs were sidelined/retired back in 2018 when these were replaced by ACS-64s. Several of these were used as wash trains during the fall months. It looks like SEPTA now has plans on selling these.
The St Louis (Silverliner III) car has been sitting in Wayne Junction yard since 2012 and in 2019, it was moved to Frazer.

Ardmore Station Renovation Project advanaces into Phase B
Starting today, the old platform with the tunnel and station building has been decommissioned. The current station was built back in 1957. It’s original station was built in the 1870s!
Once all said and done, the station will have an high level platform, a new station building and If things goes to plan a parking garage for the final phase of the project.

SEPTA to order 220 hybrid buses from New Flyer
On the October’s SEPTA Broad Agenda, it is listed that the SEPTA Broad is expected to discuss the purchase of 220 hybrid buses from New Flyer. These will replace the remainder of the 2005 (8000-8119) diesel buses as well as much of the first batch of hybrid buses which arrived in 2018 (8120-8219).
