Pilot for the 2022 batch of New Flyer arrived

Two weeks ago, #3525, pilot bus for the next batch of buses, arrived on SEPTA property. An total 220 buses with an option of 120 more has been ordered.

The major changes are as follows:

  • New GFI Genfare fastfare farebox
  • Holes in the rear for improve ventilation; roofline changes
  • Cummins ISB engine as opposed to the Cummins ISL engine for increased fuel effiency
  • Propulsion system has been switched from an Allison to an BAE propulsion Systems.

Northbound Lane closure on Broad Street between Tasker and Morris due to SEPTA Construction Project

Starting on Monday, there will be Broad Street lane closure between Tasker and Morris affecting one of the Northbound lanes. This is due to a SEPTA project as outlined in below which is to make Tasker-Morris ADA accessible. There’s about $19.21 Million allocated in the SEPTA Capital budget for this.
